Rapidly model, simulate and validate complex engineering systems using Modelica language, fully immersed in a Model Based System Engineering approach

The Dynamic Systems Engineer role offers a Modelica and FMI compliant solution that efficiently model and simulate multi-physic dynamic systems. With Model Based System Engineering, system architectures can be quickly assessed based on behavior and performance simulation. Informed decisions are made earlier in the development process, long before detailed design or physical prototype manufacturing. Moreover, a comprehensive set of model libraries can be added, all compatible with each other, to efficiently and quickly predict systems behavior.

Dynamic Systems Engineer Pack (SNK) is a commercial role, composed of 2 technical roles: Dynamic Systems Specifier (SDZ) and Dynamic Systems Designer (SDY)

  • Rapidly model and simulate the performance of complex products and systems
  • Accelerate understanding and validation of complex systems through early virtual simulation
  • Quickly find solution to complex multi-physic system design problems
  • Use of Modelica compliant component models ensures Intellectual Property (IP) capture for re-use
  • Fully immersed in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach
  • Multi-discipline modeling & simulation, fully compliant with the open Modelica language
  • Enables the usage of company's own or commercial domain specific Modelica libraries for rapid modeling & simulation of complex multi-physic systems
  • Integrated workgroup environment with shared digital representation for accurate Model Based Design
  • Powerful 3DEXPERIENCE integrated systems simulation environment and systems model management
  • Functional Mockup Interface (FMI) import capability enables co-simulation of models coming from heterogeneous solutions

RFLP Virtual Execution and Behavior Experience

  • New command in F/L editor to create Modelica representation of Logical model
    • New “composite behavior” is created, based on the current Behavior Selection
    • Structure of the Logical model is retrieved in the composite behavior
    • Layout of Logical diagram/schematics is retrieved in the composite behavior
  • Behavior experience
    • The Engineering Rules Capture App is available in the context of Behavior Experience. The generic Knowledgeware tools are available for Systems simulation models, such as:
      • Rules
      • Checks
      • Actions
    • Data created with tools from “Engineering Rules Capture” App is stored in the Systems simulation model. They are shown in the Specification Tree of the Simulation object.

Integration of Systems Behavior with other Apps

  • Systems Synthesis
    • A new TRA connector is available for Behavior Experience models, showing:
      • Link to simulated model
      • List of scenarios
      • For each scenario: parameters, excitation and probes
      • Simulation log of the scenario, if it exists
