  • RAE users can generate and modify arc weld trajectories with a full suite of geometry-based capabilities. RAE automatically creates fully detailed robotic trajectories for both seam search and arc welding based on the CAD models of the parts to be welded. The trajectories include robot weld locations as well as approach and departure via points
  • Optimize workpiece positioning
  • Workpiece positioning mechanisms present the workpiece to the welding robot so that an optimal weld can be achieved. Traditionally, programming these is a difficult, time-consuming manual process. RAE automatically calculates the optimal joint values of the workpiece positioning device
  • Optimize trajectories
  • Automatically optimize a robot’s motion by computing standard motion parameters such as turn numbers, arm configuration, gantry positions and rail values along a robot trajectory. RAE also provides tools for optimizing cycle time and creating a collision-free path. The user can copy or mirror existing robot tasks. The cloned or mirrored task also includes all supporting robot motion data. This facilitates the re-use of robot tasks when other robots are performing similar tasks elsewhere
  • Create a swept volume from the robot task
  • RAE can create a swept volume of the robot or the tooling based on the motion in the robot task. The volume can then easily be shared with tool designers to communicate the robot or tools working envelope
  • Supports advanced logic and I/O in device programs
  • RAE allows users to create input and output signals between robots and other devices. Input and output ports can also be easily created from an external file. RAE also provides advanced logic programming instructions through its easy-to-use interface. These logic commands let the user insert conditional statements (if-then-else) and looping statements into the robot task.
  • Robot Simulation On-the-Go (Offline Mode)
  • Users can disconnect their Robot Simulation Engineer App session from the ENOVIA database and continue to work on their Robot simulation while disconnected from the database and the network. Data can be created and modified while disconnected. Automatic database reconciliation occurs upon reconnection.
  • Simulate controller-specific weld profiles
  • Robot Simulation Engineers can fully simulate controller-specific weld schedules for a robot-controller combination with the arc welding profile user interface. Weld profiles include start, end, and included weld points; seam data such as motion parameters and weld data like voltage and amperage; and weave data for the weld tip motion pattern, as well as speed and delays
  • Quickly generate seam search trajectories
  • RAE users can rapidly generate seam search trajectories using standard patterns and controller-specific constraints. Simply select the robot, the base geometry, the wall geometry, and the side geometry. With a few mouse clicks, you can define a seam search trajectory specific to your selected robot, controller, and sensor

  • RAE lets Programmers choose from an extensive library of robot and controller models from all major industrial robot manufacturers. Auto placement and workspace envelope tools help users position the robot in a reachable position and benefit from early feasibility studies
